The Journey Continues
The Road From Unemployment

Disillusioned - Discouraged - Weary - Cynical

Presently, the path I thought would be straightforward  and relatively easy has become twisted and difficult, and I have been left to zig-zag through a path mired with uncertainties, and have become quite cynical.

Cynical:  believing that people are motivated by self-interestdistrustful of human sincerity or integrity: her cynical attitude.
• doubtful as to whether something will happen or whether it is worthwhilemost residents are cynical about efforts to clean mobsters out of their city.• contemptuous; mocking: he gave a cynical laugh.

Presently, I have become a little bit doubtful about my recent choices and am feeling a little down, but even though I feel a little down and unsure, I do not feel out.  I feel like I am still in the game and all I need to do is to reevaluate my game plan and tweak it a little bit.

Presently, I believe that it is important to Smile in the face of adversity.  I believe that a smile shows one to be a resilient person and if nothing else a smile makes people wonder what you are thinking.

The other day I had to smile in the face of adversity and I did it well.  When one feels that someone has rained on their parade or shattered their proverbial high there isn't anything better than a smile to preserve one's illusion or sense of dignity.

Presently, I have become somewhat distrustful of human sincerity and must get myself back to living what I believe.  I believe that one can achieve what they set out to do without having to slay any dragons.  I believe that one must face the dragon and not back down.  One must be courageous and find a way to befriend the dragon, and to do that one must wear a proverbial smile.

Presently,I must focus on the good, wear my proverbial smile and always remember the Mona Lisa's Smile and the Statue of Liberty's Torch.

The game is on!
